Responsible use: Spotted cameras are designed for monitoring your own property, land, livestock and wildlife. Please position cameras in line with UK privacy and data protection law. Where possible, keep recordings within your property boundary and avoid recording neighbours' property or people unnecessarily. See the ICO's guidance on home CCTV.
Motion-triggered recording. No monthly app fees.
The Spotted Orb uses heat-based detection to capture activity without recording continuously. When movement is detected, the camera wakes, saves the footage to its SD card and sends an alert to your phone.
The PIR sensor detects changes in heat and movement within approximately 5–7 metres. This helps avoid unnecessary recordings and saves battery power. Position the camera close to the gate, entrance or driveway area you want to monitor.
Instead of recording continuously, the camera stays in a low-power standby state and wakes when motion is detected. This helps extend battery life in remote locations.
Recordings are saved directly onto the SD card inside the camera, so you can review clips without paying for ongoing cloud storage.
The app is free to use. A 4G data plan is required for remote access and notifications.
When movement is detected, the camera can send an alert straight to your phone. You can also open the app for a live view whenever you need, provided the camera has a working 4G connection.
No WiFi?
No worries.
The Spotted Orb connects using 4G, so there's no need for broadband or WiFi.
Our SmartSIM can use multiple UK mobile networks, giving your camera more ways to connect at gates, fields, farms and other remote locations.
A usable 4G signal is required at the camera's location. Coverage and performance vary by network and area.
